Abstract. This article examines the role of artificial intelligence in personal finance management in the context of Russia's accelerating financial sector digitalisation. It addresses key challenges facing modern financial service users — data fragmentation, low financial awareness, and the absence of systemic risk management tools. Using the Russian FinTech platform Monetrix as an in-depth case study, the paper analyses AI hyperpersonalisation architectures, Open Banking API data aggregation, and financial health index formation. The research builds on the international experience of Betterment, Wealthfront, and Mint plantorms, as well as JPMorgan GenAI Coach case, data from the Bank of Russia and NAFI Research Center (2024), academic work in behavioral economics, and the CFPB financial well-being framework. The methodology combines systematic literature review, case study method, and functional mapping of the competitive landscape. The comparative analysis covers six largest PFM platforms in the Russian market with tracking of six functional parameters, and the empirical part of the study is based on data of two focus groups (N=50). The study substantiates that comprehensive AI integration in personal finance — subject to algorithmic explainability and data privacy — can statistically significantly improve financial decisions quality and reduce risk exposure; verification of this thesis requires a randomised controlled experiment on an expanded sample.
